Mission
|
| The Center for Learning amd Teaching(CLT) is dedicated to improving the effectiveness of teaching, enhancing the outcome of learning, establishing the system of educational evaluation, and encouraging the implementation of digital technology. |

History
|
With the purposes of improving teaching and enhancing learning outcomes, the Center for Learning and Teaching was inaugurated in August of 2006, in accordance to the support of Teaching Excellence Project from the Ministry of Education. By integrating the previous Center for Distance Education, Center for Higher Education Research and Evaluation, and Instructional Technology Section, the CLT is currently consisted of four sections, namely, the Teacher Professional Development Section, the Student Learning Support Section, the Educational Evaluation Section and the Distance Education Development Section. The CLT aims to provide a high quality learning and teaching environment for all students and faculty at Tamkang by incorporating research planning, curriculum design, counseling, enhancement of digital teaching and learning, and distance education.

Services
|
| The CLT seeks to promote excellence in teaching by assisting faculty in instructional techniques and technology, to foster deep learning by providing students with learning assistance and resource application, to implement educational evaluation, to develop strategies for digital teaching and learning, ae well as to provide other instructional resources. These services are provided by the four sections at the CLT.

- Offering consultations on curriculum development and teaching strategies, as well as giving workshops and continuing education information.
- Facilitating university faculty on learning strategy application.
- Applying assessment and evaluation to instruction.
- Applying self-evaluation to teaching faculty.
- Conducting best practice of teaching sessions.
- Giving training courses to teaching assistants.
- Providing services and assistances to fulfill instruction needs around campus.

- Learning style measuring and interpreting
- Learning methods and strategies consulting
- Learning obstacle diagnosing and advising

EDUCATIONAL EVALUATION DEVELOPMENT SECTION |

Services:
- To conduct research and implement instructional innovations.
- To design and administer Student Evaluation of Teaching.
- To plan and conduct Departmental Evaluation.
- To design and implement Course Evaluation.
- To arrange and execute University Self-evaluation.
- To develop frameworks for Tamkang's Short-, Medium-, and Long-Term Development Plan.
- To gather and set up teaching and learning resources.
- To provide helpful information on educational development and evaluation for the University
